I have a DT360 service / rebuild manual but its in paper format... it appears Navistar didnt start making electronic copies until 1995 or later.

No way...international engines are international engines and detroit engines are detroit engines. That's like saying allison transmissions are built by chevy. They are installed at the international factory...not made.

are you saying that the DT360 and 466 are detroit? i always thought DT360 meant Diesel-turbo 360 cubic inch.. and DTA360 was Diesel-Turbo-Aftercooled 360 cubic inch..
I dont think DT means DeTroit.. I did however think that detroit OEM'd some engines from navistar like ford did..

Apparently we are mistaken Christopher. Rock has spoken.
Do you want to call International and let them know or should I??

Maybe I am mistaken...but I'm pretty sure Detroit has a 466. Anyways, go to the same site as the computer program link that I put up. If you can get manuals and programming for free that's where it will be. Good luck.

Rock you can read about the series 40, it was an OEM, just like the power strokes in fords were not Ford motors but navistar for many years.
This type thing is done all the time.

Our left front turn signal with the arrow, left rear turn signal and left rear running light is out. I down loaded the PDF but I'm not sure where to start or what went wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You for the valuable info! Does oncommand work for looking up part nums for my 1998 4700 w/T444E and/or my 1990 4800 w/ DT 466? If so, where were you able to get it? Thanks again.

yeah totally the same.. technicall I think navistar Disco'd it after 03 but many 04 busses still got it, so you are fine using the later model literature..
there were 3 iterations of the 444E.
94-96 - use a 3 box computer system. (shared with ford)
97-99.5 - diamond logic computers.. green coolant, single shot injectors
99.5 - end - updated for red coolant, better injector cups, split shot injection system, internal J1939 for integrating to allison electronic transmissions..

You folks rock. This will demystify the engine compartment for me considerably.
I wonder if my bluetooth J1708 adapter will work with their software.

Is this manual still available?
Doesn’t seem to be an active link for me. Am I missing something?
