Adding Cruise Control

I was wondering if anyone had every successfully added cruise control to a 2008 RE International. I see in NED that it's disabled and it seems simple enough to enable it, but then there's the wiring.

Does anyone have cruise control already and can tell me the numbers on the wires for each button so I can check if I have that wiring under the dash?

I've seen some threads mention how the cruise control wiring is the same as the idle control wiring. But not enough to confirm it.

Not sure of the wiring numbers, but if you have the throttle controls on your dash, all you need to do is enable the cruise control. It's that simple! That's what I did with mine.

Well that makes it simple enough. You mind giving me a rundown of which button does what to save me some time on testing?

Basically the same concept as the idle control.
You should have 2 rocker switches: one that says "on/off" and the other should be "set/accel"

For cruise control, make sure the one button is set to "on", then when you get to the desired speed push the "set" button (I usually hold it down for a second or 2 if you push/release it too quickly it sometimes doesn't set)

When cruise is active, you can push the "accel" button to raise your speed or the "set" button to lower speed.

To cancel, either apply the brake, or witch the button to "off"

So if I had to guess since I have On/Off and Accel/Deccel buttons

On/Off probably does the same function
Maybe "Deccel" is "Set" leaving "Accel" to be it's normal self.

Your setup sounds similar to mine. I have two rocker switches on my dash aboard my CE200. One is marked “Throttle On/Off” and the other is marked “Accel/Decel” (I’ll find out what the other switch says and amend this)

Ideally the switches are marked for the throttle, on mine, and they can be set for cruise, which simply involves switching on the “On/Off switch and once you’re at the desired speed, you press the “Decel” one down and it should hold the speed. I don’t use the “Accel” part of the switch cause you can set the speed simply by using the throttle pedal, and that method also works for high idle when the bus is stationary.
