Coolant Type

Hey, I Have A 1984 International S1753 And I'm Having Trouble Finding Out Which Coolant I Need. In The Past, Before I Did Research, I Used Final Charge 50/50. Now Knowing That I'll Need A Specific Type, I Want To Use What's Best For My Motor. If Anyone Can Help I'd Appreciate It.

I think Motorcraft VC-5, or equivalent, is the OEM spec...but I may be mistaken?

I'm not sure how many variants of anti-freeze there were in 1984, but I'm betting it was green.

My first call would be to the dealer.

I Googled International S1753 and Napa came up, I clicked on coolant / heaters, selected 1984 and this is what I got.

But, I'm not sure how backwards compatible the extended life coolant is??

This is from Stockwise Auto:

What Ross said. Also you may need the VC-8 additive.
