Correct oil pressure DT466e

Hey all, I am looking for the correct oil pressure for my 2005 dt466e. The gauge shows 60 psi cold at idle. This seems high to me. Am I wrong? if so what might cause this

Not high at all

The spec for oil pressure is 15-30 psi when running 675 to 800 rpm and high idle 45 to 65 psi. It'll show high while it's cold, once it heats up it will thin and the pressure will indicate lower. More is usually good, not enough is really bad.

Like marc said...it is common to be high when cold. On our Cummins 8.3 it can peg the needle when it's really cold, if I don't watch the tach and keep the rpms low until it warms up.
