Differential swap

I right now have a 96 int 3800 with a DT466 Mechanical engine that puts out 190 HP with a spicer 6+1 transmission and a rear ratio of 4.78. It does 68 redlined at about 2900 but was wondering if anyone would recommend a 4.10 rear end and if so what my RPMs would look like at 70 mph. Otherwise if not a 4.10 what other ratio? also just so you know, I will be pulling a 7X16 trailer behind it... thanks

2900 is HIGH for a DT. The lower powered ones redline at 2600, the high torque models redline at 2400.

Measure your tire diameter and plug the numbers in and you can play with different ratios, rpm and speed: Transmission Ratio RPM Calculator | Spicer Parts
