DT 466 mechanical not starting

Hey so I know this is going to sound dumb so please keep the negative remarks to a minimum but I am new to this so any advice is appreciated. Anyway replaced the fuel filter on my DT466 and I didn’t put fuel in the filter, I tried starting it and sputtered but then loosened the filter to relieve pressure and tried it again and now nothing, how can I fix this issue?

On my DT408 the primer bulb is on the driver side of the engine block behind the fuel injection pump. My understanding is you push it until it becomes hard to push.

Got it going

What I ended up doing is loosening the injectors about a half a turn and cranked it till fuel started spraying out of them. I then tightened them back down and it started right up
