DT466e reman injectors

Hi folks,
I just replaced my injectors with reman units. 2006 Int’l 4300, DT466e, non-egr. The engine is not running very well yet. #6 doesn’t get nearly as hot as the others. I remember from several years ago, I did a 7.3 and I had to run it for quite awhile before it would run right. Something about getting all the air out of the HEUI system. Is the 466e the same? Does it take awhile for it to run right, or am I doomed to buy a scan tool? (I don’t have one for this truck).

466E is same as 7.3, although my 7.3 didnt take too long before it was running great.. maybe an hour total run time..

What model year is your engine? 2006 should've been EGR at that point. There were two different injector sku's depending on your HP rating. My 2005-06 245HP 7.6's had a slightly more expensive injector than their 220HP cousins.

I'd run your VIN against Navistar OnCommand (https://www.skoolie.net/forums/f37/n...ase-38729.html) and verify the interchange part number for your build with the remans you got.

It should only take a few minutes of hiccuping to get any air out.

Thanks for trying guys! It took all my almost 30 years wrench bending experience to find that I knocked the plug off injector 6 when I put the valve cover on in the first place. Running fine now. ��
