Dt530e crank, no start

Hey all. long time fan, first time caller.
Hoping there’s some dt466e experts here.
Having a crank, no start atm. So from my research it seems that when you turn the key you should hear the injectors buzz yes?I hear no such noises at any point. This happened after I was deleting emergency windows/hatches and starting er up in between to make sure that was kosher and each time it was until the next day she didn’t wanna fire up. Batteries are good and I keep em charged between attempts.
So what’s next to check? Any wisdom bestowed would be greatly appreciated.

One suggestion would be to check electrical. Take a peek in the fuse box and see if there are any blown fuses or relays that had gone bad. (I had that happen where a blown relay and fuse prevented my VT365 from even cranking or buzzing the injectors)

Since you were taking out emergency windows and hatches, and it’s an RE, I would check if perhaps one of the emergency doors had an interlock on it. (It’s the mechanism that doesn’t allow the engine to crank over if the emergency door is locked and I’ve seen a lot of older buses have it)

Those two would be my best suggestions, along with checking the engine start panel in the back of the bus and possibly cycling through the gearshift on the dashboard.

When you are cranking it, do you see billowing white smoke from the tailpipe or nothing?

Yes, you should hear the injectors buzzing when you turn the key on. On an RE its hard to hear from the drivers seat, are you turning the key from the engine compartment?

I would expect that if you'd triggered a door interlock the bus wouldn't even try to crank. Double check that in your engine bay you haven't bumped the engine kill switch.

Do you have access to ServiceMaxx diagnostic software and a nexiq cable?
