If you Jack and brace the frame the air will automatically drain from the air bags. Draining the bags makes it safer to work on

Yes it's more stable consider putting a dump valve in as when you are parked the bus will not rock as much

an opinion?
run the bus and get everything up to pressure.
jack up the axle on the side you are working or both sides.
jack stands for safety.
go to work and listen for air leaks while you are doing it?
if the bags are any lines are leaking then its better to know now.
jacking it up with full air on the system just putting putting the road weight on it and not stressing it out like hitting a pothole or something.
if it leaks while on stands then its an air problem to that specific side.
axle seals dont care about brakes or bags.
your bags could fail and not affect your brakes? your brakes can fail and not effect your bags.
bad bearings could cause several issues but not with the air side.

Considered the dump valve I'm dumb founded as to why there isn't one already. Got the brakes done on the oily leaking side today is the other side
