Gauge cluster plug repair

My 2002 Amtran RE t444e gauge cluster cuts on and off while driving etc.

I re-soldered all the points on the cluster circuit board, some of which were bad. But I’m pretty sure the plug is bad because I can reach under the cluster while driving and push the plug and the gauges will turn back on.

Does anyone have a source for the plugs? I’m considering just cutting the old plugs and rewiring it to a replacement plug if I can source them. Click image for larger version

Or can I repair the existing plugs with some like the tools pictured below?

Thanks!

try cleaning the terminals on the cluster and on the harness with electronics cleaner.. mine acted the same as yours.. touch the wires and it comes back.. once I redid all my solder joints it worked good for about 2 years.. now its breaking again.. the 2 wires that are the culprit are the black twisted pair which is the Data-link between the ECM and the cluster.. so it causes the 5 main gauges to freeze.. (MPH,RPM,OIL,VOLT,TEMP)

Right on. I cleaned the plugs and used a scribe to bend the ends of the connectors on the two black twisted wires. Basically I smooshed them alittle to create a tighter connection on the board prongs. We’ll if it works...
