Governed RPM

[Simplicity]

I was asked what my governed rpm for my T444E was, so I looked at my parameter export file and it doesn't show that specific term.

What it does show is:
High Idle RPM of 2700
Rated Engine Speed 2300

I keep reading that the T444E is generally governed at 2600, but I don't find that rating in the parameter export file.

Any help determining how I find my governed rpm would be appreciated.

International used to call high idle speed the max safe operating speed. 2700 being the most you were supposed to let it get to down hill. The rated speed 2300 was where max HP was achieved. If it was 195 HP it happened at 2300. That was supposed to be a safe speed when going up the hills at full throttle. I don't know what they do now.

Okay. Well, that parameter setting is 100 rpm higher than what I've been told, so that's a nice added cushion.
