Help - international 3800 - will not turn over

Hi - I need help here. i have a 1998 thomas bus wih an international 3800 series chassis. the bus was idling and then just stopped dead. now when i go to start it - when i turn on the ignition, the light go on except for the WAIT TO START - that doesn't go on and the motor will not crank over - i've check the normal fuses - but cannot fiture it out - is there another safety override or something i am missing? thanks in advance for you help!

You need to give more and better information. What engine/trans is in your bus? Do you think the engine is locked up mechanically or does it seem to be an electrical problem. What checks have you made so far?

The better information you give the better the chances are to solving your problem.

you can always check the starter out first, just to make sure it isnt locked up, cross out the solenoid with a screwdriver, justa suggestion

A very dangerous and potentially deadly one using the method you described.

A 1998 with a WTS light means it's almost certainly a T444E...my first thought is that you blew a fuse/melted a fisible link someplace.

Is it actually overheating? If so, check the water pump.
