International 2010 Transmission Issue

Looking for Insight to a 2010 International PB 10500 Transmission Issue. Most of the manuals I have found on the forum so far have been to Engines older than 2010.

I need real "Kindergarten" stuff here. When we drive the bus, the transmission light comes on and the bus won't go out of 1st or 2nd gear. Fluids are fine. We don't know if it is a wiring issue yet. I don't know what to check and I don't have computer codes to check.

Also, does anyone have access to International Buss codes to remove the shift cap so you can shift the bus into a higher gear for high way driving?

Crawl under the bus, on the transmission somewhere will be a tag with the model number. Probably a 3000pts or a 2500pts but that info will help.

Alternatively you can create a free account on repair link shop. com and enter your Vin number. You can view your build sheet which will give you your tranny info, assuming it's original and hasn't been replaced.

It may be in some kind of "limp in" mode. Limp in on some vehicles gives you 2nd and reverse. Lots of things could trigger this.
