International Owners Meet Your New Best friend, Me.

Ever wish you had a buddy that was a mechanic at the dealership? Well now you do. I have been a mechanic for 13 1/2 years. Until now I have been mostly working on some truck and trailers, light construction equipment, compact utility tractors and lawn and garden.

I have just recently finished a four year apprenticeship training/schooling as a Heavy Equipment Technician. I am almost a journeyman I have a few hours to complete. Once have them I will be a certified H.E.T on road (tractor trailers) and off road (construction equipment) Journeyman with red seal qualification for each.

Give me a little time to get used to my new environment then I will be more than happy to help anyone that needs it.

I am in GP. Good for you, there is no replacement for school. I see guys that test out of certain periods of school because they think they know what they are doing. I loved going through school I want to go back and get my automotive ticket In the not to distant future.

While "GP" to me means "General Practitioner" (Family Medical Doctor) or Gran Prix, I am assuming it is local slang for "Grande Prairie," which looks to be about halfway north between Montana and the Yukon. (Ok, actually straight up between Idaho and the Northwest Territory, I was looking at it diagonally.)

I guess we need to figure out what "a little time" is . . . .

Re: International Owners Meet Your New Best friend, Me.

I suppose a 'little time' depends on whether or not you actually notice Time itself. I, for one, am quite shocked and amazed it's all of a sudden September 1st. Last time I checked it was June. All the wee school children are back in school so I only have to deal with them on the weekends, and I think the College has started up their Fall Semester (I pay VERY little attention to the Freshman Techies here, they tend to be morons).
