Looking at a 2001 Int'l BlueBird 3800

Shopping for a bus to skoolify, I came across one that I'm going to look at this weekend.
Reading up on what I can find (I'm very new at this) I'm guessing that it has a T444E under the hood. Don't know about the trans but the seller promises me a VIN as soon as she can find it.
My concern is that if it is the full-length 3800, the T444E might be weak for it. I don't plan to go fast, or over the Rockies, but I also don't want to bust it. Like I said I'm not a mechanic, I'm the guy who talked to the mechanics about why the helicopter did that.
Opinions? If it's the 34' 3800 with the 444, should I leave it where it is?
Cheers.

34" is 6' short of full size, and not too large for the 444, depending on tranny mated to it.

.

I am not sure I understand what this means?

And there is nothing wrong with the T444E

It really all will depend on the transmission mated to it If it is an AT545 (likely) then it will be likely a slow pig

it also has a LOT to do with your rear end gearing so when you get your Vin you call the IH dealer with it and ask what trans and what rear end is on the lineset ticket.

our bus has the T444E (7 window Vista) as I purposely sought that motor out. But it came with the AT545 so I did a custom trans swap to solve that. not for everyone's skill, even mechanics. it's a one off now
