What kind of specs are you looking for?

The 7.3 idi didn't really have any emissions laws to meet, only had a particulate matter(smoke) spec they had to meet, no real nox or any other exhaust reduction specs.

When diesel exhaust started to be controlled, most OE's ditched the mechanical engines and went electronic.

I'm not sure what emission spec you'd need for a registration in europe, but there wasn't ever really a spec for the IDI.
