Oil leak RE300 Dt466e

Hello all. While moving the bus around the yard, so I could work on it, I noticed a consistent drip of oil falling. I took the opportunity to clean the motor out with some degreaser so I could find the leak easier. I found the leak coming from what I thought was an oil pressure sensor or temp sensor(red circle), but when I tried to pull the “cable(s)” off it turns out it was more of a rubber hose. So my question is does anyone know what this part is? If so, will swapping it out for a new one fix the leak? And what is the hose? Does this typically need replacement as well?
Also there is a metal tube (very dipstick-tube-like) that just has an open end (well I couldn’t follow it up…) What is this and its purpose?

Thanks!

Pictures are not enough for me to figure out what it is.

But that open tube , I think, is an engine block vent. It is also called “ a draft tube “.

I figured the pics were not the best, it’s hard to get the phone finagled in there in the rear pusher. It’s close to the frame which didn’t leave too much room *♂️

Is that leaking line going into the side of the pan? Turbo return most likely if it is

turbo oil is very hot so rubber is not used and it would return to the oil pan right under the turbo. that is too high on the block to be any return so its a supply to something that could include turbo, air compressor and any extra oil filtration added to it. you must follow that hose and see where it goes. the hollow tube is a crankcase breather if its a older engine.

It didn’t seem like a supply line, to me, due to the dribble of oil leaking? It’s literally a drop every one or two seconds.

It’s def up on the block. Hence my initial thought of some type of sensor. (Temp/oil pressure) in fact it looks like one but the line to it threw me off.

Also the last two pics were rotated 90 degrees so it’s kind of confusing.

Also for another point of reference, that black tube in the front of the first picture, is the oil dipstick tube…. Not sure if that helps anyone recognize what this is.

Thanks again for replies.

do you have a air compressor as it also needs a oil supply line and has no visible return unless its a old belt driven one

I haven't bothered to think deeply into your particulars - it may be that you have an actual problem - perhaps one that will get worse. My 2 cents worth is that some small oil leaks are not worth fixing. Sometimes the easy way to deal with a minor oil leak is to keep track of it and add a bit of oil as needed.
