Tire size 2005 ic ce300 8 window

I am trying to determine the tire size for the front and rear tires.
I currently have 255/80 in the back and 235/70 on the front.
I don't think this is correct. The rear of the bus is always higher than the front and it slopes forward.

Anyone have any ideas?

The tire size is sometimes recorded on the "ID plate" (the metal plate inside the bus showing the VIM, etc.).

If not, I'd go with 11R22.5. Probably slightly larger than the stock ones, but you'll gain some top speed and ground clearance, and that's an easy size to find. May not be perfectly legal, though ...

I have the same bus and it came from the school district with 255/70R22.5 tires all around. Mine also has the aesthetically troubling look of "jacked up" in the rear.

I'm considering the pros and cons of mounting 11R22.5 in the front. That would be 2 inches of lift in the front. Without other mods, I don't believe the rear has the clearance for taller tires. It is the "no hump" floor for the wheelchairs. And raising the rear would run contrary to the goal of eliminating the odd "jacked up" look.

I don't know if your bus has an ABS, and if yes I don't know how the system would deal with different rotating speed in front and rear. Maybe it's ok though, I'm sure a more knowledgeable member would be able to answer that.

Monster Moto, that is interesting the way these are jacked up. My a/con the back does not drain properly because of the slope. I think mine is a bit more slope due to the smaller tires in the front. I guess the guy who sold it to me put those on

I'll ask the Bendix about the different tire size and see what they say. I will probably get the taller ones in front.

You are correct, the rears are close, if not touching, the body when the air bags deflate. Larger tires in the back won't work.

Thanks

So the
11/22.5 tires are 41.9" tall. C= 131.6"
235/80r22.5 are 37.5" tall.
255/70r22.5 are 36.5" tall. C,=114.84*

This would be a 4.6" front raise for me. That should help the jacked up look.

The Bendix abs m-32qr requirements are satisfied.
Steer circumference/ drive circumference > 0.85 and < 1.15. this would be 131.6/114.84=1.145
And
Revs/mile must be 426-567.
11/22.5 are 496

2.3" front rise, actually.
