Water separator

Hey y’all!

We have a 2001 international 3800 DT466e bus and we’re currently doing maintenance on it. Husband wants to change the water separator. We have had no luck finding any videos or info on it. Does anyone have any tips or advice?

Does it actually have one? Seems it was an option, not standard equipment.
P.S. The little 3" long basket with screen inside, immediately upstream of fuel filter is not a water separator .

Like 007 mentioned, not all buses come with them. At least not the kind I, personally, prefer.

I buy used Davco units from a truck salvage yard, for $50 each, and add them to most of the buses we work on.
