1989 thomas bus overcharging the batteries

I have a 1989 Thomas flat nose rear engine with a Cat 3208 bus that is over charging the batteries. I have not been able to find any manuels for the bus. I think it is a regulator. Can anyone help? Also there is a red warning light on and a buzzer when you turn the key on

The rd light and buzzer could be the low air warning, If it will start, let it run for a while,
if it is the low air warning buzzer and light will go off...... if you drained the air tanks be sure the drain valves are closed for operation.

Make sure your all emergency exits are closed but not locked. That includes roof hatches.
