Top speed would increase if the engine produces enough torque to support it...
You're still pushing a big brick through the air.

The MD3060 is .74:1 in 5th and .61:1 in 6th so you'll get a significant rpm reduction with unlocking 6th.
And that would give a very nice spread with your 5.38 axle.

There's a thread in the tutorials about it here somewhere -- bottom line, find the thread and find an independent mechanic to do the unlock.
