Caterpillar 3126/CFE

I cannot find what the definition for CFE means? According to our VIN number it says 3126/CFE for our engine type.

it probably stands for Caterpillar front engine? just a guess

as far as i know.
all dog nose buses are CFE (conventional front engine).
