2002 all American main power cut off

Hi all , when I turn the main power kill back by the engine compartment to off . Does it indeed kill all the power? Or is there still a feed from the bay there to things like the radio memory etc. .
I ask because It was suggested I pull power to reset the ECU.
And I was wondering if I using that switch does kill the power to the ecu ?

Thanks

Take a look at the wiring schematic you got when you fixed the ignition switch problem. Locate the kill switch...what do you see?

Does the switch totally kill power or is there another side wire going to the ECM?

So, as I am still learning... What would you guess the Verbiage would be for the Power Kill switch?

I'm having trouble spotting it on the Schems.

THIS THREAD, post #13- both diagrams you uploaded do not show a kill switch, or a battery circuit.

THIS THREAD, post #25- PDU Cummins diagram you uploaded DOES show a cutoff switch!

Look at the batteries, right side of page, 3rd battery on the right, positive terminal. Diagram reflects 3 batteries wired in parallel.

It shows the switch cuts off all power to the bus!

To be sure, look at your batteries and see if the positive cable goes to the switch.

Also check to see if there are any other wires attached to the positive that are NOT going thru the cutoff switch, as in a wire that goes to the ECU or TCM.

If there are "other" wires that do not go thru the shut off/kill switch then they are always "HOT" when the switch is turned off.
