6BT Cummins Trans options.

Good afternoon,

Currently looking at this skoolie. Doing research was a little wishy washy as the model and year of the bus itself is a little old.
It's a 1990 Ward Senator with a 6BT Cummins in it. Although I have heard that they are a little underpowered in some applications when it comes to skoolies I'm partial to them as I have owned them in many 3/4 ton dodges and love working on them and their 24v counterparts.
I can't seem to match up what trans it is and the owner isn't around necessarily to look underneath it for me. I have the vin, (486A1AAX4LL000143) and also the AD if anyone wants to take a gander.

any insight on the trans would be greatly appreciated as it affects my decision ultimately. Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,
Jesse

Year: 1993
Coachwork: bluebird
Engine: 5.9 Cummins, Allison AT1545
Rated Cap: 2
for that year, i believe the only options would have been a mt643 or the at545.

with a 190hp, i'd bet money its an at545

See if you can get the seller to provide you with a picture of the buses data plate. A quick lookup of the VIN you provided comes back to a 1990 Beaver River Utility Trailer on 2 different vin lookup sites. Perhaps it was an honest mistake, perhaps there was some flim flam when the title was converted. If you can get the serial # of the allison off that plate it is easy to do a quick lookup and find the model.
