brake press light on dash..?????

Hello to everybody, I have a 1999 international 8100 cummins m11 10 spd fuller . I had these truck sitting for three months finally got it running I did all 6 brakes new drum, shoes, s cam bushings. Now I have the brake press light on and I really have to press the brake hard to brake like when I'm in the city delivering cars my foot starts hurting I literally have to press the brake like if I was gonna brake the pedal for them to brake right. Brakes are well adjusted and evrything is fine in that part. Any suggestions of anything else I could check

Thank you guys, OTTO

Without second guessing your air brake skills, I highly recommend having a professional look at it. That last thing we want is to see you on the 6 O'clock news and not for saving a puppy that climbed up a tree. While there are a few members here that have extensive mechanical skills, that is the exception not the rule.
