broken wire cummins 5.9

What is this?????

the intercooler or radiator? or something else?

look close and you'll see a wire standing there, broken and disconnected.

the wire is there because i put it there, it looks like it used to connect to that fitting but idk.

the wire disappears into the grease and grime behind the engine fan of the cummins 5.9.

i assume i hook it back up, but id'sure like to know what it is first.

thanks for any help

Kinda hard to tell from the pic, but it appears to be in the water pump flow to the rad which would make it the temp sender (?). Like I said...kinda hard to see.

On my 4BT it is located there.

thanks for you response.

one little problem hooking it back up, i found another wire that could hook to the same spot.

the wire i hooked up looks like it goes into the fan clutch, the wire i didnt hook up came up in the same wire harness as the wire on the other side of the temp sender.

any ideas which wire supposed to go there?

the fan clutch has been working normally, so idk
