Cruise control wiring

Hello fellow travelers,
I’m trying to find the cruise control wiring diagram for my 2007 Thomas w/cummins 5.9.
Behind my dash, in my high idle wire bundle, I have 3 extra wires (red w/white stripe, brown w/white stripe & solid brown) these wires have power at their connectors.
I looked at a local bus at the school that has the cruise control switches and the red w/white stripe wire runs to the cruise on/off, the two brown wires are on the set/acc/res switch.
There is an additional wiring harness (probably could be bought) that connects the two switches with what appears to be 3 connector wires. This harness then runs 3 wires to the fuse box but those 3 wires final destination was obscured by the rats nest in the circuit bay. I think they were going to a bus bar. Does anyone have insights or advice on this? TIA

Here is a pic of the cruise control switches in the school’s bus. The red arrows are pointing at the 3 wires I have behind my dash

I got it!! The cruise control was disabled in the ECU. Simple and quick change on cummins insite and it was enabled. I used a jumper wire to ground the red wire and turn cruise on, then used a temporary switch to the brown wire w/white stripe and set the cruise. I’m so pumped. I’ve got the OEM switches on order

Incidentally, the wiring diagram I was working off of was dated 1999. Makes me wonder if Thomas buses w/cummins are the same up to at least 2007

Double reply because I can't edit my last post...

Did you bus already have the plugs for the cruise switches installed or did you have to actually terminate the wires into the switch plugs yourself? I haven't gotten up underneath my dash to see what I have yet, hoping I can just plug in the switches and go.

Thomas must have a wiring harness specific for that cruise control and I don’t have it. I only have 3 wires which I will wire into the switches so that the switch action is to ground them. The other wires in that harness (I think) are for illuminating the switches when the dash lights are on. I’ll probably wire that up too. I ordered my switches off eBay

Thanks!! Don’t know why I didn’t think of eBay…

If I remember right I paid $15 each for the switches through the Thomas dealer. Had to pay shipping but you could pick up too.

I just purchased a 2007 thomas with this same setup and it has the switches but doesnt work. Do I need the expensive software to activate it and if so is that all that is needed or is new wiring required as well? Thanks!

By same setup do you mean you have the wiring but not the switches? And you have a Cummins?

The software is called cummins insite. I took it to a diesel shop & they didn’t even charge me. It literally was a enable/disable toggle on the software that took 1 click of the mouse. Probably makes more sense to let a shop do that than spend the money to buy the software.
If you’ve got the switches, look under the dash & make sure the wiring is present & connected.

Before you take it to a shop check that the switches are properly plugged in. When I bought my switches I plugged them in and it worked. There was no need for the Cummins insight software. I was told it would need Cummins Insight Pro which I guess is a higher level software.

Thanks all! Yeah I have a 5.9L Cummins and I have the switches on the dash. I will check the wiring situation behind them and if they are connected I will see if I can get a dealer to check it and enable it if its not already. Hopefully its one of those two relatively easy fixes. Appreciate the info and help!

Just wanted to share a success story - did all the wire splicing today (to share the switch lighting and ground from the high idle switch), put it all back together, and did a road test, and IT WORKS! So. Cool.
