Fuel gauge ????’s

When I brought my bus home the fuel gauge did not work. After diagnosing an open between sending unit and gauge I have run a new wire to the signal side of gauge. It now reads 1/4 tank but is actually over 1/2 full. I believe that someone prior to me might have put a used gauge in and stopped when there was no change in gauge function. I know no one has been through floor hatch to sending unit because floor rubber was still not broken. Where can I find the part number for the correct gauge for my bus. Currently sending unit is reading 36 ohms and sitting at 1/4 on gauge. 2002 Bluebird All American RE Cummins Allison 100 gallon tank.

Before you change that sending unit or the gauge, I'd fill the tank and see what it reads. It may actually be intentionally calibrated so that it reads "E" when there's still a few gallons left (supposedly to help avoid drivers running out of fuel).
