Grey oil in my 5.9

Looks like i have to fix a crack or gasket? Any hints on getting the head out or diagnosis tricks?

Could this be a seal on the injector pump?

Pressure test the cooling system first, there are several places for water to get in. Do you have an oil cooler I.e. Water to oil?

Don't drive it!

I'm an ex ag mechanic so my knowledge is borderline (dangerous) on busses.

I was thinking diesel was getting by the injectors, but after letting it settle i can see it's water. The diaphragm could get a hole? Was my thinking. Is there no pump? I know the injectors are mechanical.

It could be a few things.
Some air pumps have coolant lines.
Turbo can leak coolant (not sure if it can leak into the oil)
Head gasket
Cracked block.
Check your coolant to see if there is oil in it.
That's about the best I can do.

Thanks. Im gonna pull the head. Hopefully just a gasket. It runs great. And it's not that much water.
