Hp upgrades

Ok. So basically lookin to see if anyone has done any Hp mods to there cummins i.e 24v. And if there has been anyone what kind of results were given either driving feel, fuel mileage.

I currently drive an 03 fs65 rated at 185hp. 2 weeks ago I straight piped it studded the head after a headgasket job. And swapped the injectors out for the bosch 275rv's.

No real numbers on mileage yet but the low to mid range torque has drastically improved.
Egt's prove to be safe so far running 950-1000 at wot @74 mph. No real change on egt's at "my" normal speed off 59 mph @700-750.

Has anyone run a tune on a cummins with the vp44 . Or an upgraded turbo like an hx40

Havent pulled any big hills yet. But so far the clutch is holding up good.

There are lots of people running a tune on Cummins 24 valve motors, but not sure this is the best place for that information. Seems like most people keep their motors stock for reliability sake.

The tuners that work on the Dodge trucks will not work on medium duty 5.9. The computers are different.

There are stand alone ECUs for engines. Its not impossible to tune these bus engines.
