ISC fault code 275 Front Pump Element

I tried to search and Google as much as possible before making a post but I'm stuck. Tonight i taught myself how to get the dash to spit out the code in my 2003 All American. 2 Binks, 7 Binks, 5 Binks. Google found me the list of ISC codes which indicates front pump element. A little more googling and that generally referred to the front fuel pump which looks to be located in the middle of the fuel line run back to the engine. After some crawling around all i can find is a fuel filter where i believe the picture indicated the pump to be. I'm a bit lost from here. If push comes to shove I'll get a mechanic involved but I'd rather do as much of this myself as i can.

download this, it's a partial of an isc troubleshooting manual, and then go to page 53/277

Basically, this code is saying the front pumping element of your injection pump isn't operating correctly.

If you have only 275, and not 328, you're issue isn't likely with the lift pump or fuel filters, both of which should be on the side of the engine. Often times, there is a water seperator towards the rear of the bus that is forgotten about and neglected as well.

You can try and change both filters, add your choice of fuel additive, and see if it improves, but you'll likely be needing a mechanic to do any real diagnostics.

Thank you so much for the help! While i was under the bus i took a picture of the filter and I'd guess it's been a while since it was changed. The second fuel filter at the back next to the engine looks newer but I'm debating changing it at the same time so i know when they were both done. Both are actually water separator/filter combos so it's possible draining them would help but i think it best to just change them.Click image for larger version

Change them. The primary filter, #3418, has 3-6-18 on it, which shows it to be over 2 years old. Your secondary filter, #3422, is likely just as old with the codes you have, any mechanic will likely start with replacing the filters anyway.

You can prefill the primary filter, but never prefill the secondary. Your engine has an electric lift pimp that you should hear run every time you turn the ignition on. Use that to fill the secondary before you start it up.
