Manual for 5.9 Cummins?

Me being the motor-head that I am I want to learn more about my Cummins and be able to work on it. Since this is my first diesel I am looking for a manual like a Chiltons or something similar. We looked online but evidently there are different 5.9 Cummins.

Any suggestions on where I can get a copy of one for my Cummins?

find your engine serial number or ESN.

cummins provides you online info of your engine. their system is called "cummins quickserve" and free. just register with them.

navistar keepos fairly tight wraps.. I do have a manual set electronic from 2014 but it is like 5 gigs large I believe.. there is a thread here that does have some T-444E files on it that are definitely helpful,.., trying to remember the name of the thread..

Where is the ESN located on the engine?

if you are luck, its stamped on a plate over the passenger headliner.

less lucky and its on the drivers side of the motor, on the edge of the front gear cover, near the bottom. i wasn't able to read mine and ended up prying the plate off the block with a screw driver so i could read it.

i have a '93 5.9 cummins, you can try my Quickserve number - just for fyi if you like. my esn is 44852416.
