On our 3126 Cat that was turned up to the Cat maximum of 230hp when I put the straight pipe on it did seem to free up the breathing just a little but the biggest difference, and this was checked on two different trips of over a thousand miles each was that our fuel mileage went from 8.5 mpg to 9.5 mpg. Yeah that's right, a full one mile per gallon increase. Well worth the thirty five bucks I spent on a three foot piece of 4" pipe and a couple clamps.

I agree. I can tell my experience will be the same. Just runs more freely. Breathing better.
