I'd like to go and experience Black Rock at least once. That actually sounds like a lot of fun with opportunities to meet lots of people. I may be a little warped from my previous military experiences. The army didn't get all the hippie out of me, but they sure tried.
Elliot, I honestly haven't figured out what I could do to contribute to the BM event. In the past at my favorite hot springs I have done a lot of chainsaw work, removing danger trees and cutting trail. It's likely I'd have a skill that would fit in somewhere.

Chris, if you stayed on the upwind side of the gathering you wouldn't be pelted by smoke molecules. From watching the BM videos you wouldn't be out of place wearing a gas mask.

It would be pretty nice if there were a bunch of skoolies there. Anybody else thinking about going?

As a self labeled hippie myself born in Idaho I watched the demise of BM as I came of age to go... When I turned 18 in 08 it had already been turned. Never been. Patiently awaiting the next simpler more hippie art festival.

How does the Bus do for Burning Man entry and exodus?

So our plan is to go to The Playa in 2023 (I've been 5 times, but not in a while). One thing that we are worried about is the starting and stopping during entry (and exodus too sort of, but we are planning on leaving late: Wed). How do your buses handle the slow going and starting and stopping?

slow going starting and stopping is what 99.9% of these school buses were made for.
