I’ll have to check them out next time I go west.

Here a short video I found about them.

Cool video. Makes me want to visit there even more now. It’s definitely on my list!

Time for Clark 2.0
So it’s Labor Day long weekend and it’s the the only time my wife and I have holidays together. Last year we found all these amazing old ghost towns including the afore mentioned Sandon with the old buses. This weekend we will head out for two weeks cruising around southern BC with a stop in Prince George to pick up my sister visiting from Toronto, she will travel with us for 10 days before flying back to Toronto from Vancouver. I’m hoping for the chance to show her Sandon this trip and the amazing history we have here. We’ve had an incredible fire season here and that’s creating lots of fire restrictions and road closures but we will adapt as needed, will try and post as we go. 72 hours til launch and the pressure is on.
Cheers

Well starting out one day late and we’re not even 5 miles from the house and at a dead stop for 2 hours for an accident, just heard the air ambulance overhead so it’s not looking like a good outcome for someone today.

So we got out of the traffic jamb and started heading north thru the Fraser canyon, first couple nights at Juniper Beach provincial camp near Kamloops, beautiful sunny days and very hot. Dry desert area and a very fast flowing river so no swimming. Click image for larger version
