Corbi update in Vermont
Here’s a brief check in since my last post. I accepted my first camp host position with the U.S. Forest Service in Vermont. I’m living in my bus now since the beginning of July. My camp site has water and electric hookups. When you spend time in your own build, one finds out pretty quickly what works and what doesn’t. Still, since there is quite a ways to go in the build, it’s good to know what to do next. There is also the effect of campground life that requires extra time for simple chores because there is much less room and if I’m cooking outside then there are trips up and down the entrance stairs for dinner ingredients. My 120 v outlet is keeping my mini fridge running. Another thank you to Demac for providing the guardrails to keep me and others safe inside and around my bus. The challenge is keeping food cold when I unplug to travel. A cheap cooler and ice lasts just enough time to return- a better system is needed for longer trips. I have to say that this campground has brought me closer to nature, which is one of my main goals for owning a bus. I’m returning on Labor day and will reassess what to do next.
