I think publix are just sticking it to us for extra $$ while they can. They're some greedy assholes at the top of Publix. They literally go out of their way to be dicks, kinda like the top folks at Chikfila.

If you order publix delivery its actually "insta cart" and you have to lodge any and all complaints to insta cart. Basically there's no returning a delivered item. that's savage.
Instacart refunds no questions asked though. If you do it a lot you'll get flagged. But I think that rarely happens.

Sorry about the quality. I would blame the shopper but there's not much for us to choose from in the first place.

We've tried contacting them about this and they just ignore us. We've been at it for days trying to get a refund for the bacon.
How do we return something to this company??

Chicken Wine

Tonight's dinner was Chicken Wine (emphasis on the wine) with a side of asparagus.

Here's what it says on their site-
Quote:
Returns policy. At this time, except in situations where a shopper must return alcohol to the store (for example, if the shopper cannot confirm valid ID), shoppers cannot accept items for return. If there is a problem with an item in your order, please click this link for help reporting the issue.
its all just a big circular wild goose chase trying to return this meat. "help reporting the issue" is just a fancy way of saying "you can complain but at the end of the day we don't care".

So they are treating you the same way they treat the drivers. Sorry about that.

Used to be where you rated the shopper under a five-star, a menu would show up and you could choose poor replacement or didn't receive item. They would just give you a credit back for that item.

Maybe you can still report it as missing? Normally it might reflect on the shopper. But right now they're just canceling any ratings that aren't a 5-star anyway.

Basically making even the ratings bogus.

Our pork chops were odd. They were not a very nice color and came out tougher than any meat I've ever eaten.
Guess we're going without till we find a better supplier.

That is a real shame!

I wonder if Amazon will ship orders from Whole Foods since they now own Whole Foods. If you are a Prime member you get free shipping (on a lot of orders) and a discount on purchases at Whole Foods ... but I do not know if that discount would carry through to items ordered and delivered. We might have to try that.

The nearest whole foods is so far there's just no way they'd deliver meat here.

They're in densely populated metro areas. Guess we'll just cut back on meat.

It was much better than the pictures. Those were both 4 pound roasts. The InstaPot cooked both at the same time in 75 minutes of cook time. Total time was more like 100 minutes.

Chicken & Dressing with personal bread loaves

Last night we made chicken and wild rice(a medley). Sorry, did not post a picture.

Today, we used the last of the chicken cooked last night and made another medley ... chicken and dressing. We are into single-dish meals.

For dessert, I made some personal-sized bread loaves. They are flat on purpose.

I wish I had something to post myself, but my dad is so bored he won't let me do any of the cooking. He did let me pan-fry the tilapia last night but I forgot to take a picture.

Awwww, that's alright ... we have all forgot to take pictures of meals. After all, is this FaceBook or something?

My wife made a roast in the crock pot a few days ago, and then we shredded some of the leftovers last night with just a little BBQ sauce and water, put in the oven to reheat, and made sandwiches. You couldn't tell it wasn't BBQ beef on our sandwiches! Seems like a new favorite way of ours to reuse day-old pot roast!

It disappeared too quickly to take pictures.
