Wink Roasting in the Breadmaker.

Cheap Cheap to operate. I read that if you use a breadmaker 15hrs per week then you will burn 9kw per month, and simple to do. Set the breadmaker on Banana Nut Bread. Pull the mixing paddle off the shaft. Add veggies at the bottom up to about a 1/3 full. Add your seasonings and then add your seasoned meat. 1st 20 minutes you hear the maker running then it will shut off and then it will cook for 1.5 hrs. I use two chicken thighs or 3 legs. Fantastically easy. i dump my veggies over a wire dish and drain off the fat.

I have done chicken,beef/pork meatloaf, Pork tenderloin, pork chops/bonein/bone out.

A Bachelors or college dorm kid/ minimalist great thing.

Drove mine home on The 4th Of July with no air

Can't get much hotter than that!

Fortunately it was only 45 miles of back highways, but dayum they were narrow 2 lanes!!!

yeah ive run on some narrow roads with mine.. and then a Real school bus comes fro mthe other direction.. Wheeee and whew! still have all the mirrors

it was definitely a hot 1000 mile ride to ohio.. but no more as i built a custom Dashboard Air as well as the rear unit.. and have been sealing off alot of the firewall holes.. it was still warm on my 120 mile drive yesterday into the sun(95 out with dewpoint 72) but i didnt sweat and was decently comfortable even though the metal front parts were still pretty warm to the touch..

I can see why. DOH! Chicken is good.

Will have Tenderloin and veggies for supper. Cheap to buy and chaep to use.

Oh yeah? Well I just did a 2500 mile trip with no AC.... uphill both ways.... in a sandstorm... through 120 degree temps... fighting smegma crazies and the Lord Humungus... Interesting trick with the bread-maker though...

So your essentially using your bread maker as a crockpot(slow cooker)? Does it use less power than a crockpot on low?

So i just finished making a woodstove out of an empty propane tank and today talking with a friend he reminded me i can wrap sweet taters in foil and cook 'em on top of the stove!



Or i can wrap meat and veggies in foil and cook em in the woodstove. A little more complicated to know how long to cook...

Just for the record, I have it from a reliable source that you can fit 3 big ol' taters wrapped in foil on the exhaust manifold of a DT466.

Apparently the local farmers like a hot lunch during fall field work.

I haven't tried it on the manifold, but i am as i type roasting a sweet tater and veggies ontop of the woodstove i just finished
