I love the Helix, it is the perfect 80s design!

Do people usually tow their scooters on a trailer? Been considering selling my suv once I hit the road in the bus and picking up a scooter to use as my transportation. I was originally thinking having a back deck with a slide out ramp (to the side), but wasn't sure if that would be the best route

On the back bumper on a dirtbike hauler is what most folks do.
I've got a WC lift but my mopeds are so small I could just bring them up the stairs myself.

My moped addiction has been in remission for a bit but this summer I'm hoping to get this Tomos back into shape.
been using parts off it for other peds, but I'm planning to totally restore it anyway. Gonna go BIG on the kit for this one. May even do a crazy engine swap. Hydraulic forks and a disc brake too.

Go big or go home! Or go big and then go home. Go big and ride it home.

I rode my Helix to Home Depot yesterday and carried 2 gallons of Rustoleum in the top case. Scooters rule.

LOL I had two BIG bags of cat litter on my CH80 once. Put em right on the floor board and set my feet on em.

I like SMALL scoots, personally, but I love anything fun with two wheels.

Me and Roxy HAVE to get a Helix someday. Just for rides to the beach, if nothing else.

In the meantime, I'm trying to break the 60mph barrier on a two stroke moped! I'm at 52 now, and I can ride at that speed sustained without the engine even getting close to overheating. Port work, a 4 petal reed valve setup, custom intake, and PHBG16 Dellorto are next up for the green ped I use as my "daily".

With some vp racing fuel & an all balls sticker you are bound to break 60mph.

I've got a garage full of Tomos mopeds, and I keep eyes out for all the ones folks are selling.
If you want a real moped a Tomos is really hard to beat. Solid dependable and they have two speed auto trannys.

Good runners are around $300-$600 these days, but the $100 ones are still out there, too.

Here's a link to THE moped forum. But you do need a bit thicker skin on there than here.

Joe
My uncle called it a “Tote Gote”

It’s been in the family before I was born so over 50 years.

There is a name on the side plate that reads “Phantom”

I would love to hear more. We have a new Chinese engine we are going to drop into it.

This old boy has been sitting in a shed for years!

So can I come moped shopping in your garage?

And that's excellent news, that's about what I hoped to spend
