We finally got a bus!

We are so excited, we finally have a short bus. Her name is Large Marge and the conversion has begun! We have all but 1 seat removed and my husband found our little potbelly stove he bought on the side of the road years ago! We are lifetime VW bus people so Margie feels huge! On my maiden drive after we got her, you could not have slapped the smile off my face! Now’s the fun part, designing where to put everything!

Thank you everyone, we are over the moon about her! We got all of the seats out and procured a really sturdy welded cabinet that we will turn into a kitchenette. She now has her own blog site www.shortbusmarge.com. This way i can keep family updated on her progress.

A big congratulations, let the fun begin, keep your chin up when times get tough, there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

Good luck with your conversion.

RE: potbellied stove. Be warned that some insurance policies will forbid wood burning heat/cooking, so you may want to check into this first.
