Where to park near Savannah, Georgia

Hello friends, Where can I park my partially completed Skoolie for a week or so near Savannah, Ga. I want to try out a couple of my systems. Prefer a place or places with restrooms/showers. I'm thinking of truck stops or rest areas. Next on my list is places where I can park for free or inexpensively maybe at a state park. I don't want to go more than fifty miles or so from Savannah. I have just started on my conversion and still have not painted the outside. +

Bad thing out east is no BLM to park at. I know there are some apps they may help but I'm not tech savvy.

Corps of Engineers campgrounds in the East are friendly to Skoolies. I have even seen ones still painted yellow in them. Look on Recreation.gov.

If you look on Hipcamp there's a couple of private campgrounds in the area (hipcamp is similar to air bnb, but for open land). I saw one for like 30 bucks a night. Probably doesn't have any bathroom or hookups though, but close to town. Also, check out Campendium you might find a state park or national forest campground nearby...those are usually affordable and allow skoolies.

I always start with state parks. If you can get a spot, Skidaway Island State Park would be my choice down there.
If you want to go further afield, Hunting Island State Park outside Beaufort SC is another gorgeous place to camp.
Go to the GA Dept of Parks site for reservations. Or take a look at Recreation.gov which is how we book sites in SC.
