Need Advice

Need Advice. Bus has split AC with roof top unit and 3 inside units connected to separate compressor off the side of the engine with a switch for each unit. Was thinking of removing all and putting in 2 RV ac with heat units. But I have been think that it might be better to use the roof top unit and compressor and change out the 3 inside units for some low profile units with a bypass switch that can be used for shore power when not driving. Has anyone ever heard of something like this being done? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
