what is the battery? 8d? group 31?
lead acid or agm?
either way the battery cables can be re used unless you are going crazy with a solar battery bank.
start batteries and lead acid batteries dont last long with deep discharge and agm is a little more tolerant but wont last.
the cables depending on your system are a definite score for repurpose.
