1981 Bluebird GMC B6000 Renovations and Repairs
Though this vehicle had only 70k miles, it sat for years, and needed an entire new fuel system reconditioning, from end to end. Also, wheel bearings and greasing everything underneath, and new rubber for the road all around, new belts, air pressure governor, and yet still needs a list of items I need to attend to...

cool bus.
what power train do you have?
how well does it move it?
would it not be a b600 instead of b6000?
have a good day

Thanks! I was told B6000 GMC chassis, maybe I'm wrong? It has the chevy 350 / turbo 400 and it goes.

That a 350 small block? The TH400 is a strong tranny,

Lots of options if you decide to improve the drivetrain -- only worth it if you put on a lot of miles...

cool
plenty of parts and knowledge to be had for your set up.
i was thinking ford because my bus is a b700 and they make big trucks that are the 6000,7000, and 8000 series.
i can build that motor almost blind folded and have thought about building a 454 or 460 for my bus when something happens to mine because i know them better than diesel but i do know diesels also but more concerned with the wear and tear or how much to ramp a big block gas to move my 60 passenger bus at the speed i want (55-65) easily
so kinda keeps me in the diesel mind set.
good luck

Belts

I saw you put new belts on it when you got it. Do you happen to know what belts they were? I'm pretty sure we have the same model and I need to replace the belts but can't tell what they all are. Thanks!
