So I accidentally posted these pics on a different thread yesterday.
I started the roof raise, it went pretty smooth, I think. I supported the front and rear of the bus with jack stands but the engine still managed to sag somehow.
The sunny side of the bus has been far more difficult to get the sheets to lay flat for some reason. Hopefully it doesn’t oil can to much.
I have almost finished the floor insulation and subfloor. I just need to pull out the drivers seat and finish that section. Packing 16 80lb bags of concrete around was probably the worst part of it.
If you don't my me asking, what did the cost of the roof raise and skins come out to?
After watching hundreds of YouTube videos, Chuck is definitely my favorite builder, although there are a lot of good ones. I think Trancendence has a lot of good content as well.
The cost of the roof raise materials was around 4k. The 18 gauge galvaneal steel I bought through a local supplier for $1,650. I got the hat channels and a roof raise kit from skoolie.com for $900. The rivets ran around $1,000, though I still need a few hundred more. 1,500 of them are installed. I also had to buy an air rivet gun, the one I chose was just under $800.
For the labor it, it took 4 of us about 40-50 hours to complete.

Good Job on it all! Now the fun really begins, the building up of the inside.
