2001 International/AmTran -- Disabling front whip and side stop signs

Search through the side electrical panel, I did not find any fuse or relay for the two stop signs that swing out from the driver side of the bus. I removed them today, but the leads are still hot. Can I remove power to that circuit?

Thanks,
John

I just started skinning my 2005 Amtran and came across the same question you did. Killing power is easy, just follow the switch wire to power/fuse then remove fuse.

I am going a different route...
I got some low power (amps) LED lights. from the driver side I am going to run a wire down the rib to the bottom of the bus, behind the mud flap, run a wire over to the passenger side, and install the LED lamps (2) so to shine low on the ground and out on an angle so that when I am backing up in dark places with objects in the way, just turn on the lamps and you can see!

So instead of cutting and removing, better to re-purpose what you got!

things like this are why I kept the school light wires in my harnesses.. i even left the school light controller inside my switch panels so i know which wires go to which position on the bus (they are labelled on the controller).. when i need a wire i just pop it off the controller and then fish it out in back (or front) and use it..

i disconnected the main power feed to the school light controller and repurposed the yellow and red pilot lamps..
