Angry 2009 Bluebird FE NO headlights

All, Been working my bus for 14 months and finally on the road. One issue that has surfaced is the following, No headlights, High beams are working and when selected all four headlights are on. The bus will run like this for a bit and then all lights will cut off for 15 sec and then come back on, only to repeat itself a little while later. I know that the circuit breakers on this bus are self resetting after 15 seconds so this part of the process is working fine. The wipers do work, I mention this as they are on the same circuit. Any assistance concerning this or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time in advance.

Does this issue happen when the lights are on low beam (only 2 outside lights on) ?
The circuit breaker is tripping because of too much current draw. Maybe there are more things on the circuit drawing excess current, or possible that one of the headlamps or the wiring has a short circuit. Ideally headlamps should have separate circuits for high and low beam, and be on dedicated breakers.

On other vehicles I’ve seen the high beam switch fail and rather than switching from low to high, it turns both on. I would look at that circuit / relay / switch .

Yes, I pulled the switch out tonight, couple pins burnt at base on one side. Oddly enough I have two serious electrical issues. The other one being when I hit larger bumps my dash warning lights all flash and the gauges zero out then everything snaps back on. Seems the inside of my dash was home to a small rodent, 4 wires chewed bare and one literally has one strand left.

Found a bad switch. Both lights hi/low and wipers on same circuit in this bus.

Low beams simply did not work, unless hi beams selected then all four headlamps are on.
