91 Ward Engine & Transmission?

1991 Ward Senator with a 9.9L 12 valve Crane Crawler chassis.
I’m new to the diesel and not sure if it is the DT465 motor or what ?. It does have the after cooler and I have no clue what transmission it has. I do know it’s capacity is 31,000 and it does 1st , 2nd,3rd,and D .
NOTE : Gregory Archambault had given all of this information however I lost all of it and now am lost.

91 ward senator I would expect to have a DT466 (7.6) liter engine.. (mechanical DT466 is a good one).. it likely has an MT643 transmission.. there were wuite a few senators built wit hthat configuration..


its rear gears will determine its top speed.. ive seen senators with most commonly 4.78 and 4.44 rear gears but honestly they could be buolf with anything..



if in fact its an international DT466 engine then you could call an IH dealer and they could tell you what rear gears and transmission the bus was built with..

Interesting , I did mean 5.9L not 9.9 ( my Yamaha outboard is a 9.9 Ha ).
I was told it has a 5.9 12 valve and after watching a video on the 7.6L the turbo is down on the side of the 7.6 so nw I am a bit confused as to why you say that .I will try to upload a photo of mine …Forget the image I’ll have to post a new thread
