Troubleshooting ABS fault and have 3 passive sensors reading 2.45kohms and 1 reading 1.66kohns.a source for getting rep sensor says their sensors measures 1.7kohms.So do I have 3 bad sensors or one??thomas bus with air brakes.

You have to get the codes read, or at least have them flashed at you. I'm not familiar with bluefire, someone else will have to chime in if that will read them or not. Some systems can flash codes, but I don't know if you have a bendix or wabco abs system.

But I wouldn't replace a speed sensor due to an ohm reading unless the ecu said that speed sensor had a fault, the wiring to it checks out, AND the ohm reading was different. Ohm readings for a sensor can fall within a range. The 1 being off compared to the others could be your issue, or not. Maybe the reason it's off is because it's already been replaced whereas the other 3 are original.

You need to check for codes and do the proper troubleshooting steps, because replacing stuff willy nilly is just shooting in the dark.

Learned some stuff

Found my EC-30 Bendix ABS controller and it has rear left sensor fault I was asking about. I suspect my other 3 sensors are original W20 sensors while this one is W24 sensor with different resistance.the older W20 had 2.4kohms while this one has the range of a W24 sensor at 1.7kohms. I can get one for about $60 and change it out to see if system is happy

Get the flash codes, or use a scanner to get the codes. Those led lights point you in the direction, but aren't a diagnostic. Here's the ec30 manual, it will tell you how to get the flash codes https://www.anythingtruck.com/instru...eDataSheet.pdf

I don't think ws20's are available anymore, maybe nos, but they're definitely NLA from bendix.

Like I said, the ohm's are irrelevant to the controller, so long as it's within a range to show the coil hasn't been damaged. The controller watches the frequency of the AC wave the sensor creates by the slots moving past it. That light simply means the circuit is open/shorted or it's not seeing the wave when it's seeing a wave from the other 3.

Here is a sensor diagnostic chart from bendix. https://www.bendixvrc.com/itemDispla...ocumentID=7183

I'd be more suspect that it wasn't installed deep enough, over condemning a sensor that didn't match the other 3 but was still within range.

Well i changed out the ABS sensor that as a different value than the other 3 but that does not mean it was defective as mentioned by more knowledgeable folks on this thread.it was the same one that read as faulty on my EC30 bendix controller and the fault went away
