AC Compressor Removal

I just removed my AC units. I had one in the front of the bus and one in the back. I have two AC compressors that the belt in the engine goes around Do I leave them? Do I have to replace them with something else? Really just don't know what to do.

We could definitely use some more information about your rig. If you have a cutaway bus, you may have two complete systems, with the Van's stock system providing the driver's running AC and the other compressor cooling the back of the bus. Again, assuming you've got a cutaway, there are OEM and aftermarket blank pulleys that can be installed to get your bus back as it would have been if the coach builder had ordered the van without factory AC. If you have a bigger bus, you're going to need someone way smarter and way more knowledgeable than me (cadillackid is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and typically very willing to help).

I'm in a similar situation, but I'm going to leave the compressor attached to the engine. There's no refrigerant in it, and I plan on removing the plumbing that goes to the aft a/c unit, but leave the plumbing that goes to the dash unit in case I want to make it work in the future.

However, I was advised to ensure not to accidentally apply power to the system, as the pump running without refrigerant will overheat within a minute and bad things will happen.
